What is the Children’s Ministry at Faith Baptist about?
To partner with parents in instructing their
Children to love the Lord their God with
All their strength,
All their heart,
All their soul, and
All their mind.
Come and See
(The Discover Phase)
Facts of Faith – During the adult worship service kindergarten through 4th graders meet in Stage One to explore the doctrinal truths of God’s Word. This is our Covenant Community in the Children’s department.
Follow Me
(The Growth Phase)
Attitude of Christ - The attitude of Christ is a thread woven into each of the ministries in the Children’s department. Our second hour program introduces the beginning stages of discipleship focusing on corporate worship, personal Bible study, and life application. Coming alongside parents to begin transitioning students into a deeper relationship by challenging them to read their Bibles and pray every day, hide God’s word in their hearts, and find a place of service in our church. This then becomes the Basic Accountability Group (BAG) for Children’s ministries.
Be with Me
(The Maturity Phase)
Include Jesus in your day to day. On Wednesday nights from 6:30 – 8:00 we have our Ongoing Accountability Groups (OAG’S) otherwise know as AWANA ministry. Here we raise the bar with evangelism outreach and witness training. Another example of an OAG for children would be an in home family devotion time. Resources for these family lead trainings are available in our lobby bookstore and on line. Please contact Sherrie Linderer for details.
Trust and Obedience- are character qualities that we strive to instill in our children as they learn to walk with Christ in a world that does not acknowledge Him as Lord.
Remain in Me!
(The Multiplying Phase)
Hands of God- We believe that everyone in God’s family should serve in some capacity and that includes our children. Whether it is picking up trash in the sanctuary or pulling weeds in the play ground we honor God in a very concrete way. Though we do not earn salvation through works, we can show our love and devotion through using our bodies to praise Him in service. Here are some of our outlets to serve:
- Class service projects
- Green Shirts or Kid’s Council (5th and 6th Grade only, leadership team)
- Decorating for outreach events or serving in our preschool department. Plus many more.
Sunday Mornings, 9:00 a.m. Nursery through 6th grade programs
Wednesday Evenings, 6:30 p.m. AWANA - 3 year olds through 8th grade, Sept. through May
