Sherrie Linderer came on staff as our Children’s Director July 1, 2005. A veteran of Children’s Ministries for 26 years; Sherrie has served on staff at two other churches. Sherrie came to know the Lord at the age of 6, was baptized at 8, and began volunteering as the Kid’s Choir director when she was 17 at Ken Caryl Baptist in Littleton. Being an adventurous soul Sherrie backpacked through Europe alone at age 19 and then traveled in Mexico for a year with Up with People. In 1983 she married Carey, her Columbine High School sweetheart. Running a preschool and daycare out of her home for six years she began to understand the calling on her life to be involved with children and their families from both an educational and spiritual standpoint.

In 1995 Sherrie joined the staff at Ken Caryl as their Preschool Director. That position quickly bloomed into full time Children’s Director for the next 6 years. In 2001 Carey was transferred by Lockheed Martin to Phoenix where Sherrie served as the Children’s Coordinator at First Baptist of Avondale running the Children’s Church and VBS programs. She also home schooled their three kids and taught a K-6th grade Choir and a Drama class for 7th – 12th graders at West Valley Christian Home Educators.

In 2004 Carey’s job returned them to Colorado and God brought them here to Faith. Besides supporting Sherrie in her role, Carey serves as the Small Group Bible Study Coordinator. They have three children and a daughter in law and are expecting their first grandchild. Andrew, Jenalee and Ashley have chosen to peruse Christian Ministries and Biblical Studies degrees at Southwestern College in Phoenix. Austin is a sophomore in High School.
